Brief Introduction of the Development Zone
　　 Hangzhou Qianjiang Economic Development Zone (the second name: New Industrial Area of Hangzhou) , attached to Hangzhou People’s Municipal Government, was approved to establish on March 6th, 2006 by People’s Government of Zhejiang Province and as a provincial level development zone by the notice of the State Development and Reform Commission on April 17th, 2006。
　　Geographic location: the Development Zone is located at the north suburb of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, the southeast of the old town in the south of Yangtz River – Tangxi Town, next to Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Cannel in the north, No. 09 Provincial Road in the west, No.320 National Highway, Linping (the deputy city of Hangzhou City) in the east, around 9km away from Qiaosi Marshalling Yard, 35km and 180km away from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport respectively, and enjoys convenient water, land and air transportation.
　　The planned boundary of the Development Zone: it starts from No. 09 Provincial Highway in the west, to Heyu Road in the east; starts from Ningqiao Avenue in the south, to the Grand Cannel Road in the north with gross area of 23.8 sq. km.
Planning target: perfect the construction of infrastructures through scientific planning and rational function arrangement and build Hangzhou Qianjiang Economic Development Zone as a new highland of industry with advanced industries, rational layout, modernized facilities, gardening surroundings and top grade and high quality.
Function Orientation: the Development Zone is applying itself to building the third largest industrial high land in Hangzhou City. We will build a modern processing and manufacturing base with international competitiveness in Hangzhou City, “a hi-tech business park, advanced manufacturing base and a garden and city type of modern industrial park” with harmonious surroundings, and make the zone become a new modern composition city with convenient traffic, beautiful environment, advanced industries, bright further, suitable for business, living and tourism.
